Three civilians, including a woman, got wounded in unprovoked firing by Indian security forces across the Line of Control, said an Inter-Services Public Relations press release on Wednesday.
According to the ISPR, Indian troops initiated unprovoked fire targeting civil population in Jandrot Sector along the LoC. Pakistan army troops responded effectively targeting Indian posts which initiated indiscriminate fire, said the ISPR.
On January 17, a man was left wounded after becoming the target of the Indian Army’s “unprovoked and indiscriminate fire in Khuiratta Sector along the LOC,” said the ISPR. Pakistan army responded to unprovoked Indian firing in Khuiratta and Kotkhetera sectors along LoC targeting civil population. Three Indian soldiers were killed and two injured besides damage to Indian posts.In an earlier press release, ISPR had stated a citizen had been injured and evacuated to a hospital after India had resorted to unprovoked and indiscriminate fire in the Khuiratta sector.
It is to be noted that both sides equally blame the other for initiating the cross fire.
