Minister for Women Development Ashifa Riaz Fatiyana has said that the Women Development vision of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
She was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a day care centre established at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency on Wednesday.
Besides the minister, Women Development Department Secretary Irum Bukhari and PFSADG Tahir Ashrafi were also present on the occasion. While appreciating the efforts of Women Development Department, Minister Fatiyana said that setting up day care centres in Punjab was a demand-driven initiative to facilitate working women.
She stated that with the provision of care and safety of their children through day care centres being established by Women Development Department, the economic empowerment of women will be boosted in the province.
Irum Bukhari informed the participants that 75 day care centres had been established across Punjab and WDD was engaged in expansion of the facility to every public and private sector workplace that employs women.
She said that application forms for establishing day care centres are available on WDD website. She invited organizations in the province to avail the grant for establishing DCCs, which would translate into higher productivity of their female employees.
