LAHORE: Pakistan’s high commission in New Dehli on Wednesday issued visas to the mother and wife of convicted Indian death row prisoner Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet him in Pakistan on 25 December.
Jadhav’s mother and wife had applied for the issuance of visas following Pakistan’s decision of allowing them to meet Jadhav.
Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Mohammad Faisal took on Twitter to confirm the issuance of the visas.
Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi issued the visas to the mother and wife of Commander Jadhav to visit Islamabad to meet him, today.

Pakistan permits Jadhav to meet wife, mother
Earlier Pakistan had decided to permit the Indian spy to meet his wife and mother.
The FO spokesperson announced the decision during the weekly meeting at FO on 8 December, saying Pakistan has allowed the visit of Indian spy Jadhav’s wife and mother on humanitarian grounds.
On purely humanitarian grounds and Indian request, Pakistan has allowed the visit of the wife of Commander Jadhav, accompanied by her mother- in -law on 25 December 2017.

“The visit will take place on 25 December,” he added.
An official from the Indian High Commission will also be present during the meeting, said the spokesperson, adding that complete security would be provided to the visitors.
Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian spy who was arrested by the security forces in Balochistan, was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court in April on charges of espionage and terrorism.
However, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in May halted his execution on India’s appeal.
