LAHORE: The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has added three double-decker buses in its “sightseeing Lahore” fleet.
Excise and Taxation/Information Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, addressing a ceremony in this regard on Saturday, said that Lahore is the city of gardens, culture, ancient civilization and lively people.
He said that due to success of the TDCP double-decker bus service, the Punjab chief minister decided to add more buses.
“Sightseeing Lahore”, Pakistan’s first-ever double-decker tourist bus project, has been a phenomenal success. People from all walks of life, including active stakeholders of tourism sector, visitors from abroad and other provinces of Pakistan on the occasion appreciated the landmark initiative of the Punjab chief minister.
Rehman said that 108,799 tourists including members of educational institutions, corporate sector companies and special education department/NGOs, particularly working for the disabled, have benefited from the project and appreciated it.
The Sightseeing Lahore project was launched on Nov 25, 2015.
