KARACHI: A junk ship caught fire at Gadani ship-breaking yard during its dismantling process here on Monday, killing at least five, while nine people went missing.
According to rescue sources, around 50 workers were inside the scrapped ship when it caught fire. They said five bodies were recovered from the ship while 9 other workers were missing, though the fire was extinguished.
The owner of the ship had been arrested as the police began further probe.
