MULTAN: Rotary Club Multan Cantt distributed 17 LN-4 prosthetic hands among those who lost one hand due to some disease or an incident.
The club has set a target of distributing 1,000 prosthetic (artificial) hands, free-of-cost by end of 2017 across the country. Prosthetic hand is an artificial limb that replaces the arm below the elbow. The ceremony was held at Fazal Rehman Hospital, being run by Mian Fazal Rehman Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) MPA Rana Ejaz Noon said that the distribution of prosthetic hands was a noble cause. Rotary Club Multan Cantt President Asad Mumtaz said that this humane activity would make the life easier for special people.
Rotary Club Charted President and Fazal Rehman Hospital CEO Salman Mubarak informed the participants that each hand costs $50, but they were being distributed among the deserving without any charge.
