HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company’s (HESCO) special recovery teams disconnected 40 power connections in 25 villages due to non-payment of outstanding dues.
A HESCO spokesman said on Monday that special recovery teams along with police personnel carried out these activities in Tando Adam, Tando Allahyar, Jamshoro, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas districts and disconnected 25 villages’ power connections, with removal of 17 power transformers from the areas.
Meanwhile, the teams also detected hundreds of illegal connections which were removed. The teams also made recovery of Rs 0.79 million from the defaulters.
