MULTAN: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) General Manager (GM) Amjad Mumtaz said that the gas supply with good pressure in cooking hours was top priority.
The GM SNGPL told APP on Friday that regasified and reliquified natural gas (RLNG) was being provided to industrial and CNG sectors.
He said that the demand and supply difference rose due to consumption increase during the winter season, adding that 92 million cubec feet gas was being provided to consumers, which was very low, compared to the demand of 140 to 150 million cubec feet daily across the region.
Mumtaz added that the people who use compressors were also creating problems for others and task forces were raiding and disconnecting 10 to 12 connections daily for getting gas illegally.
The GM said that gas load management plan was being implemented, adding that gas supply will remain closed from 10 pm to 6 am every day so that it is available during cooking hours to facilitate domestic consumers.
