PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the news of the recent death of a child in Khyber Agency from polio vaccination was not true.
In a statement issued on Friday, Jhagra urged the people of the tribal areas not to become victims of any propaganda against the polio campaign.
The governor lauded the services of polio teams working in the tribal region, adding that 99 percent of the children in FATA had received polio vaccination in 2016. He also called upon the people to cooperate with the polio workers.
