JHELUM: At least three persons, including the husband and son of the Pakistani origin German doctor, have been apprehended for the said doctor’s murder.
According to police, Shahbaz, the husband of the German doctor, Uzma, brought her to the hospital for medical treatment saying that she had sustained injuries after slipping from stairs. However, the post-mortem of the doctor revealed that the deceased doctor had been shot. The victim’s sister, Qamarun Nisa, said that the couple had contracted love marriage, however, the husband and wife had frequent altercations over domestic issues.
The sister of the deceased said that Uzma had been tortured a day before she was killed. The police have registered a case against the husband, Shahbaz, who is the owner of a private college, and Navid, the son of the deceased lady. Further investigation on the alleged murder is currently underway.
