SWABI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said Nawaz Sharif captains the corrupt and Fazlur Rehman is his vice captain.
Addressing a mammoth public gathering in Swabi, Kaptaan said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is a golden opportunity for the country to develop its poor and backward areas.
“With CPEC China wants to develop backward areas and as a ruler of Pakistan, I would have made CPEC the main cause of development in backward areas of Pakistan,” he said. Kaptaan said 45% children do not reach their maximum height because of malnourishment.
“If we want to lift the status of Pakistan we’ll have to raise the living standard of the very poor,” the PTI chairman said.
“Will Pakistan’s justice system punish Nawaz Sharif in Panama case?” Imran asked the participants. To which the people replied,
“No.”
“I get same response that Nawaz Sharif is culprit but he will not be punished, this is shameful.” He said that Nawaz got a letter from people who were banned from hunting in KP.
“Today it is a shame that the rich will protect the rich, like Zardari coming for Nawaz, but no one can protect him from us,” he said. He said, “Offshore money does not belong to Nawaz, but it is the money of the Pakistani people,” resolved a defiant Khan.
“Our problem in CPEC is with the federal government because Nawaz never honors his words; our problem is not with China. China has always remained as a friend.”
