PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Friday approved 63 development projects costing Rs.27262.803 million.
The meeting, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan considered 70 projects pertaining to different sectors including elementary and secondary education, higher education, sports and tourism, relief and rehabilitation, local development, special development unit, local development, roads, water, home, law and justice, industries, science, technology and information technology, transport and health sectors for the uplift of the province.
Seven projects were deferred due to inadequate designs and returned to their respective departments for rectification and improvements.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Planning and Development Department Shahab Ali Shah, PDWP members and the respective administrative secretaries.
