ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Thursday said multimillion dollar project of Islamabad Airport is being delayed which should be noticed by the authorities concerned.
The prime minister has announced inauguration of the airport on August 14, 2017, which would not be possible if serious issues were left unresolved, said PEW President Dr Murtaza Mughal.
In a statement issued on Thursday, he said that issues related to infrastructure like access road and water supply and treatment system have not been completed.
He said that the road construction contract is awarded to contractor but pace of work is very slow and it is likely that it may not complete unless some concrete measures are taken by the concerned agencies.
