ISLAMABAD: Peshawar Police have finalised plan for security of Christian community on the occasion of Christmas, to be held on December 25.
Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Tahir Khan said 1,000 policemen would be deployed at 32 churches inside the city, reported private news channel.
He said cordons would also be in place on the entry and exit routes of the city while the bomb disposal unit officials with the help of sniffer dogs would also clear the important gathering spots of the Christian community.
The CCPO said the Christian community is patriotic and their security is responsibility of the police.
