15 kilograms of heroin has been recovered from a Boeing 777 aircraft which was scheduled to operate a regular flight, PK-7121 from Karachi to Jeddah.
The opiate stash was hidden in a secret compartment of the airplane which was found by security teams during their routine pre departure search operation
The team comprised of PIA security, customs officials, Airport Security Force, and Anti-Narcotics Force.
PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand ordered immediate inquiry into the matter. The CEO added that strict action should be taken against those who are behind the negliance.
