PESHAWAR: A ceremony is being held to remember the martyrs of Army Public School (APS), Peshawar today (Friday), two years after the deadly attack.
On December 16, 2014, armed Taliban stormed into the Army Public School (APS), killing 147 school children and teachers, in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s history.
Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa is attending the ceremony along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Corps Commander Peshawar and IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
Huge number of parents and family members of the martyrs are also attending the ceremony.
Several schools in Peshawar have been closed today in memory of the victims.
This horrific attack led to an operation by security forces against Taliban in the country.
