The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday reopened the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) case against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and decided to summon him for investigation.
The anti-corruption watchdog might also summon other former officials of Petroleum Ministry and asked relevant departments to submit record of the case.
It might be mentioned that the anti-graft body had blamed two former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for alleged misuse of authorities by giving a contract of LNG terminal to 15 different companies of their choice.
The NAB had taken the action just a week after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government completed its five-year term and handed over the reins of power to the caretaker set-up.
