GUJRANWALA: Dacoits and thieves were on the rampage in the city as citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in 35 hits on Wednesday.
According to details, in Ahmed Nagar area robbers snatched Rs 47,000, gold chain and cell phone from Amir, in Nowshera Virkan bandits looted Rs. 70,000, gold locket set and cell phones from Mushtaq, at Jinnah road swindlers took away Rs 25,000, cell phone and gold ornaments from a woman, in Satellite town Latif was deprived of Rs 13,000, motorcycle and gold chain on gun point, at Qilla Didar Singh armed men intercepted Arif and looted Rs 40,000, locket set, gold chain, in Sadar Wazirabad area dacoits took away Rs 62,000, cell phone from Liaqat, in Sohdra bandits snatched Rs 100,000, two cell phones from Jehangir, at Kot Ladha robbers looted Rs 90,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments from Azam, in Kotwali Sikander was deprived of Rs 20,000, motorcycle and cell phone on gun point, in Awan Chowk robbers made away with Rs 40,000, gold ornaments and cell phones from Kamran, in Sadar Kamoki area bandits snatched Rs 120,000, gold chain and cell phone from Junaid, in Ferozwala armed men looted Rs 30,000, cell phone and gold ring from Moeez, at Kot ladha Imran was deprived of Rs 60,000 and two cell phones on gun point.
In Saddar area, bandits snatched Rs 30,000 and cell phone from Waleed, in Garjakh police station limit dacoits took away Rs 27,000, two cell phones and gold locket set from Masood, in Tatley armed men entered in the house of Wasi and looted Rs 70,000, two cell phones from Wasi, swindlers took away Rs 15,000, motorcycle and cell phone from Asif, in Qilla Didar Singh armed men intercepted Tariq Sheikh and looted Rs 67,000, two cell phones, in Sadar Wazirabad Sakhawat was deprived of Rs 30,000 and gold ornaments, in Nowshera Virkan bandits looted Rs 90,000, three cell phones and gold ring from Shahbaz, in Sadar Kamoki area dacoits took away Rs 54,000, gold locket set and cell phone from Waqar, in Ladhewala Warriach Faiz ul Hassan was deprived of Rs 100,000, two cell phones and gold ornaments on gun point, in theft incidents unknown thieves swept the houses of Afzal, Abid, Sana Ullah, Naveed, Ashiq and Kashif while cars of Asif and Iqbal and motorcycles of Fayyaz and Mazhar were stolen from different places.
Meanwhile, three friends died in a road accident when their car was hit by a truck near Nawab Chowk on Wednesday.
