LAHORE: According to sources, Hammad Siddiqui, the prime suspect in 2012 Baldia Town case has been handed over to Pakistan by United Arab Emirates (UAE).
220 people died in the fire that erupted at Ali Enterprises in Baldia Town, Karachi.
Sources said that Hammad Siddiqui was extradited to Pakistan through a joint intelligence operation. Interpol handed him over to Pakistani intelligence agency and he is currently in custody in Pakistan, sources added.
In October, Interpol arrested Siddiqui in Dubai and approached Pakistani authorities to extradite him.
Pakistani diplomatic authorities in UAE have remained silent on the matter.
