ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday has recommended the Interior Ministry to put the names of Hamza Shehbaz and Salman Shehbaz on the Exit Control List (ECL).
In its letter to Interior Ministry the NAB said that both sons of former chief minister Shehbaz Sharif are under investigation and should not be allowed to leave the country. Both Hamza and Salman Shehbaz are facing an inquiry related to the construction of bridge in Chiniot, which allegedly facilitated Ramzan Sugar Mills, owned by Sharif Family.
According to the NAB, Rs200 million were paid from the national exchequer for the construction of the bridge.
Last week, Hamza, who is the leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly appeared before the NAB. Salman, however, did not appear before the accountability watchdog as he was in London. According to sources, three deputy directors of NAB from the intelligence, prosecution and investigation wings questioned Hamza.
