LAHORE: A Malaysian national was caught with ammunition at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Saturday by Airport Security Force (ASF) when he was about to board a flight to Malaysia.
The 20-year-old Malaysian national allegedly from a banned terrorist organisation was caught with ammunition hidden in his shoes and microwave oven. He used these tactics to avoid detection while he attempted to board a Thai Airways flight to Malaysia from Jinnah International Airport.
His plans failed when the detectors at the airport found his stash of ammunition during the security check. ASF handed him over to intelligence agencies for investigation because he was suspected of having links with a terrorist group. The name of the terrorist group was not disclosed.
The Malaysian national arrived in Karachi a week ago and he was reported to have traveled to Peshawar where he bought the ammunition he was carrying.
