LAHORE: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Saturday that Pakistan has dismantled the network of terrorists in the country hence securing its nuclear assets.
He further said that it was the responsibility of Afghanistan and the allied forces to eradicate terrorism from Afghanistan. He also asked Afghanistan to share its intelligence information with Pakistan so that Pakistan could coordinate in their mutual struggle to remove terrorism from the region.
“Afghanistan should share its intelligence information with Pakistan and the country will help its neighbour in eradicating terrorism,” he said.
He also made it clear that Pakistan would not allow Afghanistan’s war to be fought on its soil.
Speaking about the country’s relations with the United States, (US) he said that Pakistan needed nothing from the US but respect and confidence. He also talked about the past cooperation between the two countries and asked for the same sort of cooperation in the future.
He also emphasised the role that Pakistan played in the war against terrorism.
