One person was killed and over 80 others, including women and children, were injured after ammonia gas leaked from a cylinder at a scrap yard near the Gujranwala service station in Hafizabad.
Rescue 1122 personnel responded to the shop following the incident and transported the injured to the district headquarters hospital.
They later disposed of the cylinder, avoiding a major disaster in the city.
