ISLAMABAD Information and Broadcasting State Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday decided to file a defamation case against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court she said that all attempts by the PTI to defame the Prime Minister would fail miserably.
She said that Nawaz Sharif had always opted for principled politics and serving the masses. She pointed out that the courts made decisions on the basis of evidence not lies and allegations.
The minister also urged PTI chief Imran Khan to focus on the fulfillment of the promises he had made to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for which he would be held accountable. She said PTI chief is used to the politics of blame game and sit- ins. However, she added, this time he would have to produce solid proof for his fabricated stories before the apex court and the public would hold him accountable for hampering the development process and defaming the elected Prime Minister.
Information Technology and Telecommunication State Minister Anusha Rahman Khan took a shot at Imran, saying that he and his party were experts at leveling allegations but did not have any evidence to prove their assertions.
National Assembly Member Talal Chaudhry said the further that the Panama hearing went, the more Imran Khan’s face wilted.
