QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai on Monday expressed concern over presence of ghost teachers and schools in the province and urged the authorities concern to take stern action against them.
He said, “There are ghost teachers in schools of different districts of Balochistan,{“ adding that the authorities concerned must take result-oriented actions against them.
He was addressing a concluding session of teacher training program held under Secondary Education Department. The governor said that quality education made youth skilled, talented and mature. “The department should ensure provision of quality education at all educational institutions of the province,” he added.
He said that education should be imparted in local mother languages including Pashto, Balochi and Brahvi, as syllabus books in mother languages helped students in understanding lessons. He said that Pakistan could not get benefit from modern revolutions occurred in agriculture and industries in rest of the world.
“It is need of hour to equip our youth with modern scientific education, especially knowledge pertaining to information technology,” he said. Referring to corruption, Governor Achakzai said that corruption could be controlled in the government departments if government officials perform their duties properly.
Later, he distributed certificates among participants of the training workshop.
