PESHAWAR: To condemn Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar for his alleged derogatory remarks against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership, activists of Peoples’ Youth Organisation (PYO) Peshawar chapter on Thursday held a protest demonstration.
Carrying placards and banner inscribed with slogans against Nisar, the protesting activists, led by PYO Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter leaders Sajjad Hanif, Daud Orakzai, Sajid Ali, and PYO district Peshawar chapter former president Jehangir Khan, gathered at main Sher Shah Suri Road outside the press club.
The enraged protestors chanted full-throated slogans against the federal interior minister. Addressing the protesting workers on the occasion, the PYO leaders criticised the federal minister for his derogatory remarks against PPP leadership. “PML-N does not need an enemy in the presence of Chaudhry Nisar,” they said, adding that the stated minister due to fear of the growing popularity of PPP, has started indulging in negative politics.
They asked the PML-N leadership to calm the interior minister and threatened that PPP ‘Jiyalas’ know “how to deal with such a person”.
