KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza met Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday.
A spokesman confirmed that during the meeting, strategies on tackling terrorism were discussed.
Both were of the view that law and order had improved due to the operation in Karachi.
On Tuesday, the corps commander met Sindh Governor Justice (Retd) Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui.
The governor house spokesman said that during the meeting, the ongoing operation in Karachi and the law and order situation in Sindh were discussed.
The governor was of the view that the sacrifices of law enforcement agencies should be commended as due to their efforts, peace had prevailed in the city. He added that the operation in Karachi would continue till the last terrorist was eliminated.
The Karachi operation began on September 5, 2013 to purge the city of criminal elements and alleviate the deteriorating law and order situation in the city.
