ISLAMABAD: At least 23 suspected persons including four Afghans have been taken into custody during a joint search operation by Rangers and security agencies at Bhara Kahu area of Federal Capital.
On a tip-off, the Rangers accompanied by Police and intelligence agencies conducted a joint search operation in Korang area of Islamabad on Saturday and rounded up 23 suspected persons. Three arrested Afghans were having Afghan National Identity Cards, while one was not having any card. Six among the detainees were not having Pakistani Cards.
The personnel also recovered 14 pistols of 30 bore pistols and 26 cartridges of bullets, while only two were licensed pistols. Sources said that the detainees have been shifted to relevant police station for further investigation.
