KARACHI: Pak-Qatar Business Council Chairman Arshad Mahmood Wednesday on said that the youth should take inspiration from Allama Iqbal’s poetry as it gives the power of belief and action.
Speaking as a chief guest at the meeting of Hamdard Naunehal Assembly Karachi chapter, he emphasised upon the importance of the said education and commended the speeches made by young speakers, said a press release.
The theme of the meeting was ‘Importance of Education in the light of Iqbal’s thoughts’ at which Mahmood appreciated Iqbal’s famous poem ‘Dua’ by saying that it is not merely a poem but a philosophy of peaceful and successful life.
“The children should make it the main goal of their lives, if they did so they would be able to end the darkness of illiteracy, poverty, injustice and tyranny not only from their own country but the whole world,” he said.
Hamdard Foundation Pakistan Sadia Rashid President – while speaking on the occasion – said that Allama Iqbal had many expectations from the youth and children of the nation but unfortunately no heed was paid on education.
She said that double standards of education proved a big challenge in the way of education’s promotion in the country and further added that she had opened two schools Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village School at Madinat al-Hikmah.
