SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertion to stop water flow to Pakistan ridiculous.
According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the APHC spokesman said that natural resources were divine and no human could dare to claim their control on them.
“Indian rulers are escalating the war hysteria with each passing day and these insane threats and high-pitched roars can neither change the realities nor can scare anybody,” he said.
“These high-headed and haughty rulers, if authorised and powered, would only allow their yes-men to live and thrive,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged New Delhi to take sincere and solid steps for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
According to KMS, he said settlement of the lingering dispute was essential for mitigating the suffering of the Kashmiri people as well as political stability of entire South Asia.
He said that it was due to the selfless sacrifices of the people of Kashmir that international community was putting pressure on India to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with their aspirations.
He said Kashmiri students studying in different Indian states were being harassed and victimised by different agencies and Hindutva forces which continued to target them under one pretext or the other.
He also welcomed the statement of British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, who said tension between India and Pakistan was holding the region back from becoming an incredible zone.
