ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has convened separate meetings with freshly appointed Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Zubair Mehmood Hayat.
According to media reports, the prime minister’s spokesperson reported that the premier congratulated both the fresh appointees and expressed confidence in the two. Nawaz also called on President Mamnoon Hussain at the President House to take him in confidence over the appointments.
The meeting came in after Nawaz returned from Turkmenistan concluding his two-day visit and briefed the president over his visit.
