LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Khokhar was killed late Wednesday night while two other people accompanying him were left injured due to bullet injuries when unidentified suspects opened indiscriminate fire at them in Kahna police jurisdiction.
After the incident, the deceased PTI leader’s family staged a protest at Johar Town’s Shaukat Khanum Chowk and demanded the immediate arrest of the killer’s; they also asked Punjab chief minister to take notice of the incident.
Police authorities stated that the local PTI leader was directing some construction work at his Dera in Kahna when the incident occurred.
Police added that according to reports, Shaukat had an old enmity with Ghulam Mustafa Group, back in 2007 Ghulam Mustafa Group killed a member of the Malik Shaukat Group due to which Malik Shaukat Group gunned down the nephew of Mustafa.
