LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) plea bargain offer to the corrupt is a fraud.
The CM said that NAB’s plea bargain was the need of the hour. No one can deny the presence of corruption in the country, but the government is doing all it can to weed it out.
He was referring to the plea bargain made by Balochistan chapter of NAB with former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani and others accused in a mega corruption case.
Shehbaz also spoke about the attendance system in hospitals across Punjab, saying that an automatic system would be installed in the facilities at every cost. He also questioned the service provided to the people in hospitals.
He added by saying that some blackmailers speak about corruption as if the entire country is corrupt, which is wrong.
