KARACHI: Over 100 patients were brought to Saudabad Hospital on Tuesday with symptoms of an unknown disease. These included high fever and joint pain.
Saudabad Hospital MS Dr Rehana has established a help desk for patients with these symptoms.
As many as 30,000 people have been affected by an unknown disease in the city during the last 30 days.
Officials at the hospital said that blood samples of patients coming to the hospital were being collected and sent to the Aga Khan University Hospital and National Institute of Health Islamabad.
They added that the number of patients coming to the hospital had reduced.
Authorities have also begun fumigation to control mosquitoes along with the collection of their larvae.
