LAHORE: Rain and thunderstorm with snowfall is expected at scattered places of upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions), and FATA, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, dense fog will continue to prevail over the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
An official of the Met Office informed media that a westerly wave would affect the upper parts of the country and would likely continue till Saturday. He added that under the influence of this wave, rain is expected in Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Lahore divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir till Saturday.
