ISLAMABAD: The victim of alleged torture at the hands of a judge has pardoned her employers by settling the matter outside court. According to the father of the child, who used to work as a maid at the residence of Additional Sessions Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan, they have forgiven the actions of the employers in the way of the Almighty.
The court has also approved bail for the wife of the judge nominated in the case.
Last month, the case of alleged torture of a 10-year-old house maid in Islamabad came to the limelight. The young girl was recovered by police from the residence of the aforementioned judge.
The minor girl, whose face and hands bore marks of torture, had initially denied being tortured by her employers and had informed police that she had gotten the wounds after falling from stairs and had received the burns on her hand accidently. However, the girl later claimed that she had been beaten and her hand had been burnt on the stove for losing a broom.
